Yin Yoga

With Erica Woodland

Yin Yoga is the perfect tonic for deeply held tension and stress and the perfect balance to a vigorous practice. The focus is on down-regulating the nervous system.  It targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles and the fascia throughout the body, increasing circulation in the joints, improving flexibility and helping regulate the body's flow of energy.

Using seated and reclined yoga shapes that are held for 3-5 minutes, pranayama and meditation, the body gently releases and the pose deepens - accessing and clearing the source of deeply rooted tension at the physical, emotional and mental level.

In a beautiful and safe environment the student has an opportunity to explore the inner landscape of the body, mind and spirit.

"When life gets tough, you'll find me on my mat practicing Yin ...
